Grant Mussman Obituary

Born and raised in Fremont, Nebraska, Grant graduated from Fremont Senior High School before pursuing Communication studies at Creighton University and later earning his MBA in Executive Leadership from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His educational journey shaped his passion for people, ideas, and the power of leadership.

Grant’s career path was as diverse as it was impactful. From his early beginnings with a non-profit in immigration law during an AmeriCorps year, to his global experiences in management consulting, to building and selling his State Farm practice, Grant embodied dedication, curiosity, and service. He also worked as a Senior Consultant at Gallup, where his work further reflected his ability to guide, support, and inspire others.

At the heart of Grant’s life was a deep belief in helping people—whether advising small business owners, mentoring colleagues, or simply listening to friends. Guided by the wisdom of Proverbs 15:22, he believed strongly in the power of counsel and collaboration. He had a gift for simplifying complex matters, especially in finance, strategy, and personal development, always aiming to empower others with clarity and confidence.

Outside of his professional life, Grant carried many passions. He loved technology, politics, employee engagement, and, of course, cheering for Bluejay Basketball and Husker Football. Above all, his greatest joy came from his two sons, Rex and Chase, who were the center of his world. In their words, “Grant loved us all so much, and we loved him. He will be dearly missed in all of the life experiences the boys have yet to come. It is our prayer that Grant is at peace and knows how much the boys love and miss him.”

Grant’s life was one of service, connection, and love. He will be remembered for his generosity, wisdom, and the unwavering devotion he showed to his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved sons, Rex and Chase, along with many relatives, colleagues, and friends who were touched by his kindness.

A man of many passions but an even greater heart, Grant Mussman’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he influenced, and in the love of his family who will carry his spirit forward.
